As you are aware that proactive policies of Government of Uttar Pradesh has envisaged the development of trade and industry in the state, which are predominantly focussed in the sectors such as food processing including development of warehouses and value chain, renewable energy, tourism, textiles, handicrafts and infrastructure etc.
Government of Uttar Pradesh has proposed 40 IT/ITeS parks (apart from IT SEZs), 2 biotech zones & a knowledge park. The development of integrated agro/food processing zones has been proposed at Hapur, such actions will open up opportunities for micro, small and medium industries.
In this road map, recently Government of U.P. has entered into partnership with Japan to develop 'Food Value Chain' and this move has potential to boost income of farmers and breeders engaged in agriculture, horticulture, sericulture and forestry etc and provide boost to micro, small and medium industries .
Uttar Pradesh is the largest producer of Vegetables, wheat and food grains in India. Major food grains produced in the state include rice, wheat, maize, millet, gram, pea & lentils and thus offers very huge potency in the sector and therefore chapter is planning a mega seminar on the potential of the food processing industry in the state before the end of the F.Y. 2017-2018.
As chapter has working proactively in the interest of the members and from time to time intimation of various activities is circulated for the benefits of the members.
